Three-Legged Stool: Successful educational foundations

If you’ve ever spent time with an NWPHS advisor, you may have heard them talk about the three-legged stool and how it impacts what we are trying to accomplish as a school. Without dragging too much math into this analogy (take a look here for some explanations), a three legged stool is more sturdy than a four legged stool. At Northwest Passage, we believe that the three legs of a successful educational stool are the students, the advisors and the parents.

Tune into the Steve Barkley Ponders Out Loud podcast to learn more about our philosophy and how parents can check in with their schools. Steve and Peter discuss the middle to high school pipeline and what happens when parents opt-out of the norm. Also tune in to hear about expeditions, PBL and the things that make NWPHS special.
